Hi, I'm Jaime, a seasoned freelance developer with over two decades of experience in the tech industry. My journey with technology began more than 20 years ago, and over the years, I've cultivated a deep understanding of software development, system administration, and everything in between.

My Expertise

I specialize in a wide range of technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Supabase, Astro, TailwindCSS, and Drizzle ORM. My expertise extends beyond coding to web servers, networking protocols, server security, packet sniffing, and cybersecurity. Linux has been my operating system of choice, and I've worked extensively with distributions like SUSE Tumbleweed, Debian, and Arch Linux, tailoring each to fit my needs.

What I'm Working On

Currently, I'm focusing on refining my Astro Boilerplate, integrating Supabase for a robust backend solution that will serve as the foundation for my projects. I'm also diving into Drizzle ORM to enhance my database management capabilities. Another project on my plate is building a Python app to replace an outdated AUR package, enabling quick and easy access to emojis.

My Philosophy

I'm driven by a passion for performance optimization and clean, efficient code. My goal is to deliver near-perfect Lighthouse scores for every project, ensuring that websites and applications run smoothly and efficiently. I'm also committed to scalability and future-proofing my work, which is why I often start with robust solutions like Supabase, even if my initial project scope is small.

My Tools of the Trade

I'm a big fan of customizing my environment to boost productivity. Whether it's tweaking my Zsh configuration, using fastfetch for system information, or leveraging tools like Neovim for code editing, I believe in crafting a setup that works for me. Linux, with its versatility and power, is at the core of my workflow.

Outside of Work

When I'm not behind the keyboard, I'm a dad to two wonderful daughters, aged 16 and 14.
